The Wärtsilä 20 is a compact and proven four-stroke engine. Since its introduction in the early 1990s, more than 7,500 of these engines have been delivered. It runs as a main engine or as an auxiliary generating set at sea, and it is also used in power plants on land. Toes Group supplies spare parts for every configuration of this engine type: the 4L20, 5L20, 6L20, 8L20 and 9L20. We have been trading in marine diesel engine parts since 1958, so we know exactly what a Wärtsilä 20 needs to keep running reliably for years.
More than wear parts
Many suppliers limit themselves to wear parts such as bearings and connecting rod bolts. Toes Group also supplies the heavy main components of the Wärtsilä 20. We can provide a complete cylinder block as well as a crankshaft. When a crankshaft is ground to the first or second undersize, we supply the matching bearings with it, so it is ready for use right away. We also regularly have a connecting rod or a camshaft section in stock.
Cooling, lubrication and fuel supply
An engine only performs well when the systems around it are in good condition. For the cooling system we supply parts such as the cooling water pump, the charge air cooler and the plate cooler. The multiduct is also part of our range. A multiduct prepared by us is barely distinguishable from a new one.
For lubrication, you can choose a lubricating oil pump or an oil pump. To keep the oil clean, add a lubricating oil filter or a centrifugal filter. On the fuel side, we supply the fuel pump and the fuel filter. We also have various housings available for the Wärtsilä 20.
Reconditioned according to a fixed procedure
We buy complete Wärtsilä engines ourselves and dismantle them entirely. Every part is numbered, cleaned in an ultrasonic bath and blasted. All dimensions are then checked against the factory tolerances. We draw up a measurement report for each part, which also records every machining step that was carried out.
After more than 65 years in the business, we have built up an extensive archive of dimensional data. This allows us to recondition parts to the same standards as the manufacturer.
