Product Description
The lube oil pump supplies pressure and circulation of the lubricating oil to bearings, crankshaft, connecting rods and other moving parts of the Wärtsilä 20. Sufficient oil pressure and flow are essential to minimise friction and wear between moving components.
Internal wear to the gears or rotors of the pump leads to a declining oil output, which is felt first at the lubrication points furthest from the pump. Because oil starvation quickly leads to irreparable bearing damage, this pump is always precisely tested for capacity during reconditioning.
