Product Description
The housing forms the protective enclosure around drives such as gears, pump drives or governor mechanisms of the Wärtsilä 20. The housing helps keep the components inside correctly aligned and ensures that oil stays in while dirt and moisture stay out.
Damage or deformation of the housing, for example from a broken gasket or an impact during maintenance, can lead to oil leakage or contamination of the drive underneath. Because the housing is often difficult to replace without largely dismantling the engine, a careful inspection beforehand is especially valuable.
