Product Description
The crankshaft converts the up-and-down motion of the pistons, via the connecting rods, into the rotating motion that gives the engine its power. As a heavily forged and precisely machined component, the crankshaft is subject to high bending, torsional and bearing loads.
Alignment and surface quality of the crankpins determine the service life of the bearings and, in turn, of the entire engine: even minor deviations can eventually lead to vibration, bearing damage or a broken crankshaft. Precision measurement is therefore a standard part of every inspection we carry out.
Toes Group keeps crankshafts for the Wärtsilä 20 in stock for the configurations 4L20, 5L20, 6L20, 8L20 and 9L20. Every crankshaft is checked and measured exactly in accordance with the engine manufacturer's specifications, and stored in a sturdy wooden crate in our warehouse while awaiting your order. This way, the crankshaft is ready for shipment as soon as you need it.
