Product Description
The fuel filter cleans the fuel before it reaches the fuel pump and injectors of the Wärtsilä 20. It stops dirt particles, rust residue from tanks and piping, and water contamination, so that only clean fuel enters the highly sensitive injection system.
A clogged or worn fuel filter causes falling fuel pressure, irregular combustion and, over time, damage to the pump and injectors, which are far more costly to replace than the filter itself. Timely and correct replacement is therefore one of the cheapest ways to keep the engine reliable.
