Product Description
The cylinder liner forms the wall along which the piston moves up and down, defining the combustion space of the cylinder. Together with the piston rings, the liner seals the combustion chamber from the crankcase and carries the friction forces of the piston movement.
As a wear part par excellence, the liner is prone to wear from friction, corrosion and thermal load. As the liner wears, compression decreases and oil consumption rises, resulting in falling power output and higher emissions. Timely replacement is therefore one of the most important routine maintenance items on the engine.
