Product Description
Every cylinder of the Wärtsilä 32 has its own fuel pump: a flow-through, mono-element unit designed for injection pressures of up to 2000 bar and connected to the injector via a shielded high-pressure pipe. The pump is completely sealed off from the camshaft compartment, keeping fuel and lubricating oil strictly separated.
At the factory, the pump and its bracket are set to very tight tolerances specifically so that no adjustment is needed after assembly; once that setting drifts through wear, injection timing shifts and the risk of incomplete combustion increases. Wärtsilä states an indicative inspection interval of around 12,000 running hours for this pump, with the pump element itself rated for a service life of roughly 24,000 hours.
Toes Group carries fuel pumps for the Wärtsilä 32 in the configurations 6L32, 7L32, 8L32, 9L32, 12V32, 16V32 and 18V32, both as a new unit and fully reconditioned. On request we test the pump for capacity and injection pressure and include the corresponding test report as standard.
