Wärtsilä 34 Lubricating oil pump
Product Description
The main lube oil pump of the Wärtsilä 34 is driven directly by the engine and keeps the oil pressure ahead of the bearings at the nominal level of around 500 kPa, backed by a separate, electrically driven priming pump that provides roughly 50 kPa before the engine is even running.
Because this engine can run on either gas or liquid fuel, the load on bearings and drive components shifts with every transition between operating modes; the main pump still has to deliver the same stable pressure regardless of which fuel the engine happens to be running on at that moment. Wear in the gear element typically shows up as a slowly declining pressure rather than a sudden fault.
Toes Group supplies main lube oil pumps for the Wärtsilä 34 for all configurations, new and reconditioned, tested for pressure and capacity to factory specification.
