Product Description
The plate cooler of the MaK M25 is a compact heat exchanger that cools cooling water or lubricating oil through a pack of thin plates, offering efficient cooling within a relatively small footprint compared with more traditional tube coolers.
Fouling between the plates or a leaking gasket gradually reduces cooling capacity and, in the worst case, can cause cooling water and oil to mix. Periodic inspection and cleaning of the plate cooler is therefore important to keep the engine within its operating temperature.
