Product Description
The camshaft of the MaK M25 uses its lobes to control the exact moment at which the valves and fuel injection open and close, and is driven from the crankshaft through the gear drive at the free end of the engine.
On an in-line engine with up to 9 cylinders on a single shaft, the camshaft of the M25 is a relatively long assembly built up from several sections; a deviation in cam profile or connection on a single section is in practice often only recognised once the valve actuation of that particular cylinder starts to differ from the rest of the row.
