Product Description
The charge air cooler of the MaK M25 cools the air compressed by the turbocharger before it enters the cylinders, directly contributing to the power output and fuel efficiency of this engine at its operating speed of 720 or 750 rpm.
Fouling of the cooling fins gradually reduces cooling capacity, resulting in a higher intake temperature and higher fuel consumption; on engines that have already been running for a long time, this is often the creeping cause of declining power that isn't immediately attributed to the air cooler.
