Product Description
The injector holder of the MAN 21/31 accommodates the injector and provides its correct positioning, sealing and cooling within the cylinder head. Fuel is fed through the holder under high pressure from the fuel pump to the injector, while the holder simultaneously protects it from the heat of the combustion chamber.
A leaking or hardened seal between the injector holder and the cylinder head can allow combustion gases to blow past the holder, damaging both the holder itself and potentially the cylinder head. Checking the sealing faces is therefore a standard point of attention during reconditioning.
