Product Description
The cylinder head of the MAN 21/31 closes off the cylinder and, together with the water jacket, cylinder liner, piston and connecting rod, forms a complete cylinder unit that can be removed from the engine as a single assembly for maintenance. This design was deliberately chosen to keep maintenance on an individual cylinder quick and straightforward.
Valve actuation on this head is controlled from the valve camshaft on the exhaust side, while fuel injection runs via a fully separate injection camshaft on the service side; correct alignment of the cylinder head with both systems is therefore essential during assembly.
Toes Group supplies cylinder heads for the MAN 21/31 for the configurations 5L21/31 through 9L21/31, new and reconditioned, with inspection of valve seats and cooling channels.
