Product Description
The oil cooler of the MAN 16/24 cools the lubricating oil after it has flowed past the engine's hot, moving parts, keeping the oil within the correct temperature range for an optimal lubricating film.
Fouling or a leaking gasket in the oil cooler reduces cooling capacity and, in the worst case, can cause cooling water and lubricating oil to mix. Periodic inspection and cleaning of the oil cooler is therefore important.
