Product Description
The cooling water pump of the MAN 16/24 circulates cooling water through the engine frame, cylinder heads and charge air cooler, keeping the engine within its operating temperature across the full range of 5- to 9-cylinder versions of this type.
Wear to the shaft seal or impeller leads to declining cooling capacity or leakage, which is often only noticed once engine temperature has already started to rise. Timely inspection of the pump prevents a relatively small problem from growing into serious engine damage.
