Product Description
The charge air cooler of the MAN 16/24 cools the air compressed by the turbocharger before it enters the cylinders, directly contributing to this engine's power output and fuel efficiency.
Fouling of the cooling fins or leakage in the cooling circuit gradually reduces cooling capacity, resulting in a higher intake temperature and higher fuel consumption. Regular cleaning and inspection of the charge air cooler is therefore one of the most cost-effective maintenance measures.
