Product Description
The fuel pump of the MAN 16/24 provides direct injection of fuel per cylinder and is driven by its own, dedicated camshaft used solely for injection. The complete injection equipment, including pumps and high-pressure pipes, is enclosed behind removable covers for protection and easy access.
Because injection and valve actuation run on two separate camshafts on this engine, a deviation in the fuel pump can be confined to the injection timing itself, without immediately affecting valve actuation; that often makes targeted diagnosis of irregular combustion simpler than on engines with a single combined camshaft.
