Product Description
The cylinder head of the MAN 16/24 is of crossflow design: charge air and exhaust gas are supplied and removed on opposite sides of the head, giving more efficient combustion and better emissions than a same-side design.
This separation of intake and exhaust sides also matches the layout of the rest of the engine, where valve actuation and fuel injection are each controlled by their own, physically separate camshaft on either side of the engine. Correct alignment of the cylinder head with these two separate systems is therefore essential during assembly.
Toes Group supplies cylinder heads for the MAN 16/24 for the configurations 5L16/24 through 9L16/24, new and reconditioned, with inspection of valve seats and cooling channels.
