Wärtsilä 38 Toggle lever
Product Description
The rocker arm on the Wärtsilä 38 is mounted on a bracket at the cylinder head and driven via a hollow push rod with ball ends, which in turn takes its motion from the valve tappet and camshaft. On the other side, the rocker arm presses down on the yoke, which distributes the force evenly across two valves at once.
Because the rocker arm therefore actuates not one valve but, via the yoke, two valves of the same type simultaneously, any play or wear in this component carries straight through to both valves at once. Regular lubrication of the bearing bushes and inspection of the push rod connection are therefore no unnecessary luxury on an engine of this size.
Toes Group supplies rocker arms for the Wärtsilä 38 for all configurations, new and reconditioned, with inspection of the bearing bushes and the contact face with the yoke.
