Parts for the top end of the engine
Our Wärtsilä 38 range focuses on the components around the combustion chamber and the valve train, which carry the heaviest load during operation.
The cylinder head is the core of this group. Every cylinder head that leaves our workshop has been cleaned, blasted and measured against factory tolerances, and then pressure tested under conditions that simulate operation on the engine. If the valve seats show corrosion, we machine them to the correct oversize. This keeps a cylinder head in service instead of replacing it.
Below the cylinder head, the piston has to withstand high combustion pressures. Every piston is measured for ovality against the manufacturer’s limits before it is approved for delivery.
Valve train and lubrication
The valve train opens and closes the valves precisely, cycle after cycle. For this part of the engine, we supply the toggle lever, which passes the camshaft’s movement on to the valves, and the yoke, which operates two valves at the same time.
A steady oil supply is essential to protect all these moving parts. That is why we also supply the lubricating oil pump for the Wärtsilä 38.
Factory new or reconditioned
Every part we supply is either factory new or reconditioned in our own workshop. Each reconditioned part comes with a measurement report that records every check and every machining step.
