Wärtsilä 26 Starter motor
Product Description
The starter motor brings the Wärtsilä 26 up to cranking speed on startup, until the engine begins running under its own combustion. Depending on the version and application, this is done electrically or with compressed air, requiring sufficient torque to overcome the compression resistance of a large, multi-cylinder engine.
Wear to the drive gear, the brushes or the connections of the starter motor can lead to a slower or unreliable start, which can become a serious problem on emergency generators or critical installations. Regular inspection and timely reconditioning keep starting reliability up to standard.
Toes Group supplies starter motors for the Wärtsilä 26, new and reconditioned, for all common configurations. Every starter motor is tested for function and torque before it is delivered to you.
