Product Description
The cooling water preheating unit keeps the cooling water of a stationary Wärtsilä 26 at temperature, so the engine can always be brought online quickly and without a cold start. This is particularly important for emergency generators and standby installations that must be available at any moment.
Without preheating, a stationary engine cools down completely, which on startup leads to increased wear due to insufficient lubrication and greater thermal stresses. A reliably functioning preheating unit is therefore directly linked to the availability and service life of the engine.
