Product Description
The conical mount is a vibration-damping engine support that flexibly fixes the Wärtsilä 26 to its foundation or the ship's hull. Thanks to its conical rubber-metal construction, the mount absorbs vibrations and shocks from the engine, preventing them from being transmitted unchecked to the rest of the vessel.
Hardening, cracking or sagging of the rubber element reduces the damping effect, resulting in more vibration, noise and, over time, increased load on the engine connections and coupling system. Timely replacement of worn mounts prevents unnecessary wear elsewhere in the drivetrain.
