Product Description
The cylinder head closes off the top of the cylinder and, together with the piston, forms the combustion chamber. Valves, injector and cooling channels are integrated into this component, which means it must withstand high thermal and mechanical loads simultaneously during every combustion cycle.
Due to the constant alternation between heat during combustion and cooling via the water channels, the cylinder head is exposed to thermal stresses that can eventually lead to cracking or leakage. Regular inspection of the valve seats and cooling channels prevents minor wear from growing into a costly failure.
