Product Description
The Wärtsilä 26 is a four-stroke diesel engine in the 260 mm bore class, available in the in-line configurations 6L26, 8L26 and 9L26 and the V-configurations 12V26, 16V26 and 18V26. The engine is used both for main propulsion and for generator applications, thanks to its compact dimensions and versatile fuel capability.
A complete engine package calls for an integral approach: block, crankshaft, cylinder heads, connecting rods and all auxiliary systems must together meet the factory specifications exactly to achieve the promised reliability and service life. For a complete engine or a major overhaul package, a thorough, documented inspection of every component is therefore essential.
